Club Penguin In Spanish!

¡Hola Penguins!

We all know that you can play Club Penguin in English, Portuguese, and in French, but have you heard there is an addition to the languages? Club Penguin has decided to introduce a  Spanish speaking community to the Club Penguin world! How nice is that! Now you can play Club Penguin in Spanish! Just go head over to the “Select Language” drop box on Club Penguin’s home page and you will see an “Español” button there. Once clicked you will be re-directed to Club Penguin but with the Spanish language.

Also, Club Penguin changed the design on their regular “PLAY NOW!” button. The new design is used with all of Club Penguin’s “PLAY NOW!” buttons for all the languages. It looks very cool! It really stands out now. 🙂

While I was experimenting with the new Spanish world of Club Penguin, I realized they don’t have as much servers as the English servers do. Maybe when Club Penguin receives a larger Spanish audience they will add more.

I also thought this was interesting. When you go on a Club Penguin (English) server the member badges always say “MEMBER” on them, but when you go onto a Spanish Club Penguin server, you see “SOCIO” which means “partner” in Spanish. You would think Club Penguin would use the word “miembro”  which means member in Spanish, since these are member badges, but they didn’t. A member is a member I guess.

Check out these Club Penguin English to Spanish translations that you can use on the safe chat when you are on a Club Penguin Spanish server:

Hello! -¡Hola!
Welcome! –  ¡Bienvenidos!
Congratulations! – ¡Felicitaciones!
Waddle on! – ¡A pingüinear!
You’re cool! -¡Eres genial!

This is a wonderful addition to the Club Penguin community and I can’t wait to see how everything goes with the new Spanish servers. It’s cool to know that Spanish-speaking people are now playing Club Penguin all over the world!
