I think I’ll finally have the chance to organize the site soon and change some things. I’ll hopefully have the chance to fix some design stuff too!

Brand New Room and Map!
Hey guys! When you try to create a new penguin, a really easy step-by-step guide appears. Soon, it asks you to check your email. Once you activate your account, you are taken to the Lake (my name for the room), a room you can only visit once.
This is what it looks like on the map:
You also get two free items! A hat and a background:
You also get 500 coins! Yes!
I made the map picture big so you can see every detail. Again, the Iceberg is hidden. I checked for more secret rooms but could not find any. You can also choose four ways to sort the map.

Club Penguin Domain Name Expired?!
Okay, I know all of you have been having this same problem, so I just wanted to inform everyone what it’s about. When you go to clubpenguin.com , you’ll see this creepy looking clown staring right back at you:
If you look on the right of the page, you’ll see some information… Club Penguin’s domain name expired on June 13, 2011. Do you know what that means? They forgot to pay for renewal. Being Disney and all, I never thought this could happen! The site could be down for even a few days. What does this mean? Will we lose our memberships? Our items? What will happen to the Music Jam? Darn it, just imagine if someone or maybe even me bought out the domain name when it was expired (you know people can do that) then once it was bought out Disney would pay millions or billions to the new owner just to get the URL back. LOL WOW! And there would be no problem with it either, Disney is like GAZILLIONAIRES. lol someone could have gotten rich because of this. How hilarious. Tragic move by Disney on this one, kinda irresponsible too. Wow, how could this get by.

You’re right, Chilli. The thing I hate about CP is they never take the blame. They said it was due to “technical glitches”. Yeah right, they just got lazy and forgot to pay for the domain name!

If you notice, it said at the bottom expires 6/13 2012!!!!!

@jon doe: Actually, it did expire. Yes, I did notice that! We found this problem seven days after it expired. That means it did expire (and they gave them one week to buy it back), and they probably did forget. How could they update the system if it had expired?

Please don’t start an argument- but this was found on geek.com: “The domain name expired on June 13th, but the site finally vanished on the morning of the 20th.” It did not say that it expired in 2012, it expired in 2011.

Hey guys I found the answer to why this happened: Club Penguin saw and renewed their domain name almost as soon as it expired. (And yes they did forget :-/) However, it took some time to be visible to everyone.
